Dorset Street Food Festival coming to Poole in September

A POPULAR street food festival welcoming a host of flavours from Malaysia to Morocco is heading to Poole for the first time.

Following a two-year break, the Dorset Street Food Festival will fill Baiter Park this September where visitors will be spoilt for choice with more than 20 food traders from across the UK offering up some worldwide dishes.

Taking place from Friday, September 2 to Sunday September 4, street food originating from the likes of Mexico, Afghanistan, Spain and the USA among others will be available at the event – of which general entry is free.

The festival last took place in 2019 in Lyme Regis and organisers say the upcoming event in Poole is set to be the “largest and no doubt tastiest yet”.

There will be something for everyone at the festival with a range of traders selling vegetarian, vegans and gluten-free options.

As well as food, visitors will be able to quench their thirst with new sponsor Freedom Brewery supplying draft beers, and Pop Up Bar Hire Co who will serve everything from zesty mojitos and sparkling pink gin, to apple juice and San Pellegrino.

Three top traders have already been announced for the festival. Two Lads Kitchen will be serving 24 hour marinated chicken in rich Afghan spices, Canoodle will offer up a variety of delicious Pan Asian inspired street food dishes, and chocolate brownie stall Chock Shop will provide various brownie unique combos.

Festival organisers Street Food Warehouse have also run street food festivals across the Welsh and south west coasts for more than five years.
