AECC University College Neighbourhood Festival

22 July @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

IT’S BACK! We are thrilled to be holding another Neighbourhood Festival on Saturday 22nd July 2023, 11am-2pm at our Parkwood Road campus. Our FREE, family-friendly community event offers everyone the chance to discover the fascinating world of health sciences, right on their doorstep. There will be the opportunity to learn more about the University College, and how we impact on and change the lives of our communities.

The programme for the day is packed with fun, interactive and educational activities and talks for the whole family to enjoy. There will even be the opportunity to dress your little ones up in robes and mortar boards for their very own special mini-graduation photo-shoot, as well as a ‘bone-collecting’ scavenger hunt, gymnastic displays, just to name a few! There will be Sport, Health and Wellbeing, Discovery, Clinical, Careers, Community, Kids and Crafts, and Sustainability Zones, as well as Self-Discovery Campus Tours to find out what we have to offer and to learn more about our Grade II listed historic building.

This is an exciting opportunity to welcome our local community, charities and organisations onto campus, see our fabulous facilities, and meet our brilliant people. Our community will be able to see what we have been building the past few years, including the development of our Integrated Rehabilitation Centre and Clinical and Rehabilitation Services.

Head of Academic Enterprise and Engagement at AECC University College, Claire Nadaf, commented: “Our Neighbourhood Festival is a great opportunity for our community to come onto the AECC UC campus and find out what we have been doing over the last few years, learn about our local partnerships, and find out about and get involved with our local charities. We are committed to developing local community partnerships and are heavily invested in our engagement and outreach activities, so it’s very exciting to host this event which will have something for everyone to enjoy.”

Please note that whilst the event is free, we do require members of the community to pre-book attendance. Each adult will require a ticket, and upon booking you will be asked to confirm how many children (if applicable) you will be bringing under the age of 18.

Book your place now for the day by clicking the link below. Keep following for further updates as talks and workshops on the day are announced – places will be limited, so don’t miss out!

The University College Campus Café will be open to purchase light refreshments.
