Historic house applies for alcohol licence for events

The historic house, at Minterne Magna, is asking Dorset Council to consider a Premises Licence allowing it to provide alcohol between 10am and 11.30pm daily.

In the application to the council Mr Henry Digby says the house will schedule any events with consideration for local residents, monitoring noise levels and carefully managing outdoor spaces.

Mr Digby says the premises licence will apply to the Tea Terrace during daytime only, inside Minterne House and the South lawn during weddings and other events.

A consultation on the applications ends on June 30.

Full details can be seen on the licensing section of the Dorset Council website which also allows for comments to be made online.
