Santos & Co, based in Brewery Square in Dorchester and known for its Portuguese-inspired cuisine, announced the closure to make way for maintenance and improvements.
The kitchen will remain closed from Friday, October 2, until Monday, October 12, while the work is carried out.
Santos & Co said: “Our kitchen will be temporarily closed while we carry out some essential renovations and maintenance works.
“Our bar will remain open as usual, so you can still join us for cocktails, Portuguese wines, Dos Santos beers and drinks with friends.
“We’re also excited to announce that when we reopen our kitchen, we’ll be launching our new Autumn Menu.
“We’ve been working behind the scenes to create a selection of seasonal, Portuguese-inspired dishes, alongside some Santos & Co favourites.
“We really appreciate your continued support of our independent family business.
“We look forward to welcoming you back and sharing our new Autumn Menu with you.”
The restaurant confirmed that the renovation is part of its preparations for the launch of its seasonal menu, which will feature new dishes as well as returning favourites.
Despite the kitchen closure, the bar will remain open throughout the works, offering customers the chance to enjoy drinks in the meantime.
Santos & Co has apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their continued support.
